Cole Palmer has shared a telling update on his fitness situation ahead of Chelsea's game against Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Chelsea fans will be sweating on the availability of their star forward when they welcome their formidable London neighbours to Stamford Bridge.

Will Cole Palmer play vs Arsenal?

Palmer left Old Trafford limping last weekend after a nasty challenge from Lisandro Martinez. He didn't feature in their midweek's 8-0 demolishing of Noah as he is not registered for the league phase of the Conference League.

Chelsea coach on Cole Palmer vs Arsenal

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca refused to confirm whether the England international would feature but was upbeat about his progress.

"Cole is getting better, but because he can walk and have dinner doesn't mean he is completely fit. 'He is getting better, and we still have two days to prepare for the game. Hopefully, we can have him for a session - at least on Saturday - and then we take a decision," he said on Friday as quoted on the club's website.

Cole Palmer provides injury update

Palmer shared a photo on his Instagram stories while he received cold-compression therapy on his injured knee. The former Manchester City man was walking freely at Stamford Bridge ahead of the Noah game.

Chelsea and Arsenal are separated by goal difference ahead of the game. Mikel Arteta's side are looking to snap up a three-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
