Former president of Ghana, John Agyakum has shed more light on the mysteries of the Freemasons.

After reports made the rounds of Kufuor being promoted in the Freemasons, there have been various allegations of how secret and occultist the society is.

In an extensive conversation with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, the former president stated that all such allegations about the society is false.

According to him, "Freemasons is not a religion, we believe in the maker. We also get the chance to explore our human limits. There are no secrets in Freemasons, everything about us is coming out gradually".

Former president John Agyekum Kufuor together with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11 were recently spotted in Britain ahead of a crucial meeting by Grand Masters of the Freemasons.

Former president Kufuor was recently "promoted" to become a Senior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).

So far, John Kufuor and the Asantehene remain the only Ghanaians publicly known for their deeper relations with an international secret society of the Freemasons.

United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) was founded in 1717 and is the oldest Masonic Grand Lodge in the world.
