Banku sent this warning in a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on a social media handle of celebrated blogger, Ameyaw Debrah.

In the video, Bukom Banku, together with some angry youth of Jamestown, Ga-Mashie were seen marching on the streets of the town amid drumming, chanting and noise making to protest the abominable act.

He indicated in the video that he was not only interested in chasing out homosexuals from Jamestown alone but also in Ghana as a whole.

They chanted ‘wild’ songs in the Ga language which shows that Bukom Banku and his supporters are very serious with the concerns of homosexuals being raised.

Bukom Banku emphasized that it is senseless for men to sleep with their fellow men when God did not make it so.

He added that there are beautiful “affordable” women in the community and everywhere in Ghana for sexual pleasures, therefore they should change their minds and quickly put an end to that.

The issue of homosexuality has become topical in Ghana recently, following President Akufo Addo’s interview with Aljazeera News a few months ago.

He had responded to a question on why Ghana has still not legalized homosexuality.

According to the President, Ghana would consider legalizing the act if pressure mounts on the government to do so.

Since then, there have been agitations within the public, with some “proud” homosexuals and lesbians going public to declare their stand for legalization.

Reports also indicate that the act is widely practiced in some part of Ghana. It is against this backdrop that Bukom Banku launched his anti-gay campaign.

After suffering a humiliating defeat from Samir Bastie in October last year, Banku later announced his decision to quit boxing in Ghana because he claims some people hate him for that and wants to kill him.

Therefore, he is taking his campaign to the international level where he would be assured on support and more cash.
