Born Felicity Ama Agyemang on August 15, 1973, McBrown is a Ghanaian actress, and a songwriter. She is married to Maxwell Mensah. She was born in Kumasi to Cecilia Agyenim Boateng and father Kwabena Nkrumah.
Her parents later divorced making lives cumbersome for McBrown and her six siblings. With her mother unable to fend for all of them, they were adopted by her aunt, Madam Betty Obiri Yeboah and her husband Kofi McBrown with whom she has identified as her “real” mother.
She was enrolled at St.Peter’s International Residential School to begin her education. She later joined Minnesota International and later Central International. She, however, dropped out at form 2 from Kwadaso L.A.J.S.S owing to difficult economic times, as she said recently speaking at KNUST.
She disclosed she had to drop out of school due to the financial crisis; her parents simply couldn’t afford it. She was good in football and she was prepared to pursue it.

Nana Ama McBrown began her acting role in 2000. She accidentally stumbled on acting if we are to say. A broadcast on the radio of an audition at Miracle Films caught her attention and she answered.
Luckily she landed the costumed role which she later dropped for the lead actor after the director, Samuel Nyamekye spotted her. Her first film, That Day, was out.
After many movies, she gained household status when she starred in Twi-language movie, Asoreba. From which, she has continuously gained in popularity.

As expected of celebrities, she has graced the noble in the Ghanaian big industry of fame.
At first, many thought she was something with co-star Omar Sheriff Captain. They had starred in one too many movies that one would not be mistaken to think of them as having been something. The claims, however, were refuted by both parties saying they were never a thing.
Her public romantic involvements were in 2004 when she toured the country with her then-boyfriend Okyeame Kwame. They were on a mission to promote Kwame’s solo release.
That was not for long though as she later met the love of her life Maxwell Mensah. The two dated for long before they finally tied the knot in 2016. They have been blessed with two children.
