Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Rachel Appoh has disclosed that she had a very fruitful discussion with talented dancehall artiste, Ebony weeks before her untimely death.

According to the NDC member, the late Ebony promised to campaign for her in the upcoming 2020 general elections.

The sudden demise of Ebony Reigns has left many Ghanaians terrified, with tributes pouring in from all corners of the world.

However, the former NDC legislator speaking in an interview with Kofi TV stressed that Ebony confidently promised to campaign for her 2020 bid.

“Ebony told me that she will campaign for me in 2020,” the former MP told Kofi TV ON Sunday.

Rachel Appoh in her interaction revealed that, although she invited Ebony to talk to her about her fashion style, she gave some tangible reasons for her dressing.

The former Gomoa lawmaker insisted that, the ‘Maame Hwe’ hitmaker will be deeply missed, since she was very humbled and down to earth.

“Many people didn’t understand her in the industry she found herself. She is someone who would’ve preached the gospel if she had the opportunity,” she said.

She also cautioned self-styled Prophets of God to desist from deepening the pains of Ebony’s family members, especially her mother.

“I’m a member of the church of Pentecost and I strongly believe in prophesies but I’m pleading with the Men of God to put everything aside because the harm has already been caused and let’s pray for Ebony’s family,” she added.

The former NDC MP lost her seat to the New Patriotic Party candidate, Naana Eyiah in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Ebony met her untimely death together with two others in a gory accident on Kumasi-Sunyani highway after returning from a private trip.
