Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has been ranked as the most influential Ghanaian musician on social media for the year 2017.
The 2017 Ghana Social Media Rankings is spearheaded by Avance Media, CliQAfrica, Eazzy Social and Dream Ambassadors Foundation GH.
The ranking pitches all the artistes in the country and compares the number of followers, reach and engagements on their various social media pages.

Shatta Wale emerged the most influential Ghana musician on social media after recording over 883,319 new followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
He beat off stiff competition from Sarkodie, who has been on the top end of the ranking for the past three years running.

The ‘bossy’ hitmaker recorded the highest number of new followers numbering 1,150,389, maintaining his position as the most followed musician on Social Media with a total following over over 4.8 Million followed by Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy who also recorded 896,834 new followers in 2017.
Notable mentions in the top 10 include M.anifest, Mzvee and EL.
