10 jobs where you are most likely to cheat

Cheating comes in many forms and, depending on where you stand, you may either end up as the cheater or the cheated.

Normally when the word ‘cheating’ is mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is relationships and their fallouts.

However, cheating is prevalent in all dispensations and all aspects of life – be it at school, at the hospital, at the mall, at the movies or even as the workplace.

The latter is our current focus, with a recent study proving there are certain occupations that go hand-in-hand with cheating.

A survey data from leading dating site, Ashley Madison, has shown people with certain careers are more likely to be unfaithful to their partners.

The study served 1,074 persons with questionnaires about their jobs and came out with the finding that some careers are prone to infidelity by both men and women than others.

Below are 10 jobs, according to Ashkey Madison, that go hand-in-hand with cheating (in percentage):

1. I.T

Men in the I.T profession topped with a whopping 12% of the respondents being cheaters.

2. Social works

9% of the female respondents in the field of social works were cheaters, according to the survey.

3. Entrepreneurs

The study said entrepreneurs "are likely to take charge of their sex life the way they do their business" as a result of the many people that they come across in the course of their work.

4. Medical sector

5% of men who were in the medical profession were found to be cheaters.

5. Marketing and communication

The marketing and communication field has 4% of women being cheaters.

6. Trades

Women who were into building and plumbing recorded 4% cheating rate.

7. Lawyers and Judges

3% of women in the legal profession were found to be cheaters.

8. Agricultural sector

The study also showed that 3% of males in farming tended to cheat.

9. Education sector

Professors, teachers and other persons in the education sector recorded 4% of male cheaters.

10. Men in the creative arts and entertainment industry

The survey showed that 3% of male cheaters were from the entertainment industry.
