Did Shatta Wale ask for money to perform at Ebony's tribute concert?

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, a concert in memory of the late Dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns, will come off on Friday, March 23.

The concert which precedes Ebony's final funeral rites the next day, has an array of stars including Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Samini, Yaa Pono, VVIP, R2Bees, Kofi Kinaata, Feli Nuna, Ras Kuuku, Brella, and Danny Beatz, among many others, billed to perform.

But conspicuously missing is Dancehall King Shatta Wale. As someone who got very emotional and even cried at Ebony's one-week observance, his absence has got many wondering.

Not long after the names of performers were released and the speculations over Shatta Wale's absence, came a Facebook post from Ebony's manager, Bullet, that some musicians who claim to have loved Ebony are now requesting money before they will perform at her tribute concert.

Though Bullet failed to mention any names, some social media users are connecting their own dots and pointing fingers at Shatta Wale.

In reaction to Bullet's claim, these social media users have named Shatta as the one or among those who demanded to be paid before performing.

Born, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, Ebony died in an accident on February 8, while travelling from Sunyani to Accra.

Her final funeral rites will take place at the forecourt of the State House.
