Divorcing my Nigerian husband has affected my children - Sherifa Gunu

Newly divorced Ghanaian singer, Sherifa Gunu, has disclosed that her collapsed marriage has really affected her children.

YEN.com.gh reported the divorce story of the top singer and her Nigerian husband Ikechukwu Sunday.

Sherifa married Ikechukwu in 2014 and had two children with him.

But the multiple award-winning musician has indicated that her divorce has affected her kids.

“I have my beautiful children around me and they are growing well, God is taking care of us, we are perfect. Yes, it has affected my kids for some time but if you have faith, you will believe that everything happens for a reason, especially people like me, anything that happens, God is still king,” She said in an interview with Accra FM.

Sherifa is yet to disclose what caused her divorce with the Nigerian businessman.

She thus becomes the latest celebrity who has divorced after Obaapa Christy, Kwabena Kwabena, Funny Face and Juliet Ibrahim

Musically, Sherifa is described by many as crowd shaker and energetic performer when it comes to singing and dancing.

She is currently promoting her new track titled, ‘Kelewele’ which is really enjoying massive airplay.
