“It’s been less than three months now since Mahama was crying over hardships, but I just heard he has spent over $156,000 on his son. President Mahama bought for his son on his Birthday a Range Rover worth over $100,000, and a Mercedes Benz SLK costing over $56,000,” he alleged.
“After all this huge expenditure by John Mahama, he will later go and cry to his “NDC foot soldiers” that, he is poor and that, the Akufo-Addo administration is ill-treating him. He further tells them that, the economy is very porous and that, he (Mahama) is even being catered for by his wife Lordina.”
However, responding to the allegations, Mahama described the NPP communicator’s comments as propaganda.
In a Twitter post, the ex-president said the claims by Abronye DC are only 'fevered hallucinations'.
“The 'fevered hallucinations' you have when you've emptied your propaganda tool kit and have nothing left to deceive the people,” Mahama wrote.
Mahama’s son, Sharaf, turned 21 on Friday.
