Kempinski, Movenpick and the rest of Ghana's most expensive hotels
Ghanaians have a very complex relationship with hotels. For majority of people, it is still the place in which illegitimate romantic affairs are had.
It is not clear what informed this myth but it is quite prevalent. Hotels are also known to be relatively expensive than saving money to rent a decent place for yourself and companions.
Although we may never prove that hotels are only good for illegitimate affairs, we can say for sure that they are expensive. But that is because they are also luxurious.
Luxury is the word and that comes with people digging deep to pay world class prices even for the Ghanaian market.
