Shatta Movement Empire CEO, Shatta Wale, has won two awards at the ‘37th International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
Shatta Wale outclassed his countrymen Samini and Stonebwoy to win the awards.
The controversial dancehall sensation won the Best afro-beat entertainer and Best video of the year with his Gringo song.
The awards ceremony came off on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Pegasus Hotel, 82 Knutsford Blvd, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.
However, after being named winner, Shatta Wale took to his Instagram handle to share a photo of the two awards.
He wrote, “Thanks to the whole board of IRAWMA, my management team in the US boogie down nima (Hashim) ,my great manager in Jamaica.”
Shatta Wale’s fans couldn’t hide their joy after the singer announced that he had won two awards.
