Agbeko among the elite group of nine boxers to have won a world title for Ghana. He is the sixth Ghanaian to have ever won a world title.
A two-time champion, King Kong's first title came in 2007 after stopping Luiz Alberto Perez in round seven to win the IBF World bantamweight belt.
He lost the title by 12 round unanimous decision to Colombian challenger Yonnhy Pérez on October 31, 2009, but regained the title on December 11, 2010, later in a rematch.
Agbeko lost the title again on August 13, 2011, to Abna Mares in what was considered a controversial refereeing decision not to punish Mares for many low blows against Agbeko.

But with all his accomplishments, not much is known about Agbeko's outside of boxing. He seems to have kept a lid on his private life.
However, YEN.com.gh has discovered a few details and photos showing the 39-year-old is a great family man.
King Kong is married to a beautiful wife with who he has two equally beautiful daughters.
The Agbeko daughters are known as Beyonce Makafui and Keira Enyonam.
Just like their father, Beyonce and Keira are also into sports with Beyonce, especially, considered as a very good tennis player.
Photos of the children show a striking resemblance with the father.
Clearly, Agbeko is not only a great boxer but a great family man.
