Oswald Odds: Over 20,000 Ghanaians join betting group for winning tips

Sports betting in Ghana has really come to stay as many have taken it as their full-time job.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, the final group games of the UEFA Champions League were played with all the top teams in action.

However, for the punters, it was really a good day for them per conversation on Twitter.

After the games ended, people started talking about how it was a good business day in the betting world as they shared their winning stories.

A young Ghanaian with the username @oswaldtheson stood out among all the people posting their betting slips on their timelines.

Oswald posted 4 different betting tickets and all the slips had impressive wins.

Moments after his slips went viral, the entire Ghana Twitter community started asking for more of Oswald’s betting tips.

Quickly he created a Telegram page to give his followers betting tips. Within the first few hours, Oswald had over 4,000 people in the Telegram group.

The number jumped to over 18,000 on Thursday morning as it kept growing with more people joining by the minute.

YEN.com.gh previously reported a story of how a young man won GH¢ 566,788.59 after staking bet worth GH¢150.

Sanusi, who is a resident of Accra, placed the bet on 19 games.

He, however, did not know that the bet was about to change his life for good.

Every team on the betting slip he staked, fortunately, delivered, enabling him to win such an amount.
