MCE gives out cash and gifts valued at GHc45000 to people with disabilities (Photos)

- Ayawaso West's Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah has donated various items and money to people with disabilities in the constituency

- The total value of the gifts was estimated at GHc45000 and the items included sewing machines, drilling and plumbing tools as well as deep freezers

- She called on people living with disabilities to put the items to good use so that the benefits would come to them and their families

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso West, Hon. Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah has given out cash and gifts to 26 people with disabilities in her municipal assembly valued at GHc45000.

According to her, the donation forms part of the assembly’s fund for People With Disabilities (PWDs).

YEN.com.gh understands that two of the beneficiaries received sewing machines and money to venture into sewing apprenticeship in the municipal assembly.

Hon. Sandra Owusu-Ahinkorah also presented an industrial sewing machine, knitting machine and cash to another beneficiary whose shop was burnt to restart his business.

Others received drilling and plumbing tools, deep freezers and wheelchairs, which were donated by the Akwaaba Nippon Foundation.

Per a report by peacefmonline.com, the MCE asked the beneficiaries to put the items to good use in order to help themselves and their families.

Information available shows that the clinic is a major district health centre in a constituency in Ghana.

It has also been established that the regulators are new and were fixed long after the fans were installed.

It, therefore, became necessary to replace the original regulators for the fan as they had malfunctioned.

Some social media users have expressed surprise at the act and have posed a lot of questions online with regard to the regulators.
