The rise to fame of Ghanaian comic actor, Funny Face, was not free of a pained struggle to beat the odds and blaze trail via his remarkable talent.

After being named Favourite Actor at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards, the story of how Funny Face went through tough times due to economic his economically challenged background has been reiterated by popular Ghanaian journalist, Afia Pokua.

While this story has been trumpeted so many times by Funny Face himself, Afia Pokua took many back to when Funny Face used to sleep in the studios of Adom FM during his challenging moments in a bid to make his talent visible to all.

Born Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, the popular comedian’s rise to being one of the known faces on Ghanaian television was fraught with herculean struggles.

Despite the setbacks, Funny Face became popular for his role in TV3 Ghana's sitcom Chorkor Trotro.

The father of twins’ first appearance on the Night of 1010 Laughs was in 2010 which is believed to be his breakthrough to comedy.

In the recent video, Afia Pokua told the early-days story of how Funny Face perched in the studio of Adom FM because he was economically disadvantaged at the time.

She reiterated how the award-winning actor suffered in his effort to earn a spotlight for his talent.

Funny Face posted the video to express appreciation, saying:
