Former Adom TV presenter Nana Yaa Brefo has spoken for the first time after resigning from the Multimedia Group, owners of the TV station and other leading broadcasting houses in Ghana.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Yaa Brefo, a co-host of Adom TV's Badwam morning show, announced her resignation from Multimedia on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

In her announcement on her Instagram page, Nana Yaa Brefo thanked the company for the 10 years given her to work with Adom TV and Adom FM.

While she did not reveal the reasons for her resignation or her next move, many linked her decision to the recent interview she had with Nana Ama McBrown about the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko.

In the said interview, Yaa Brefo asked some questions which many social media users thought were unprofessional and unfair to McBrown.

For many of those who disagreed with Yaa Brefo's questions to McBrown, it was her behaviour and refusal to apologise to Mcbrown that has brought the resignation.

But two days after, Yaa Brefo has refused to see the criticisms that have followed the news of her resignation and rather focused on the positives.

In a new video shared on Monday, May 18, 2020, Yaa Brefo has thanked all those who have shown their concern following the news.

According to her, she has been overwhelmed by the love shown her so far and she had to charge her phone thrice in a day because of the many callers who were checking up on her.

"Hello, I hope everybody is fine. I'm okay as you can see and I wan to use this opportunity to say thank you to everybody. I knew I was loved but I didn't know it was this massive. My battery died about three times yesterday, I intentionally put my phone off at some point and they've not stopped calling. I want to say thank you and I love you guys too," she said.

Yaa Brefo got many of her followers including gospel singer Empress Gifty, actor Prince David Osei, and many others to wish her well.

Meanwhile, Nana Ama McBrown herself has dropped what many have described as a subtle reaction to the resignation of Yaa Brefo.
