Ghanaian CEO appointed as president of International for Bank of America

- Bernard Mensah, a Ghanaian chartered accountant has been appointed as an executive at the Bank of America

- The Ghanaian, who is also the CEO of Merrill Lynch International (MLI), becomes the president of International for Bank of America

- Mensah is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales.

Ghanaian businessman, Bernard Mensah, who is the CEO of Merrill Lynch in America, has been appointed as the president of International for Bank of America.

According to reports by Newsroom.bankofamerica.com and Citinewsroom.com, Merrill Lynch International (MLI), where the Ghanaian is a CEO, is Bank of America’s largest international subsidiary.

Prior to his appointment, the Ghanaian banking guru, who is based in London, jointly led the firm’s Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Trading business globally.

In April 2018, he assumed additional leadership responsibilities as the firm’s EMEA president and was appointed to his present role in July 2020.

Bernard Mensah has more than 20 years of global trading and investing experience, serves on the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority’s Markets Practitioner Panel, and was recently asked by the Bank of England to join the senior advisory group overseeing LIBOR transition in the U.K.

Back home, Mensah chairs the West Africa Advisory Board of Prince’s Trust International and is a member of the board of the Kofi Annan Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes better global governance to achieve a fairer, more peaceful world.

He is a qualified chartered accountant and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales.

Also, a young Ghanaian girl simply identified as Kakra seeks financial support from the general public for a surgical procedure to ascertain her gender.

According to a report sighted by on the verified Facebook handle of Zionfelix Entertainment News, the girl who appears to be seven years old possesses both male and female reproductive organs.

It is indicated that the male reproductive organ can be successfully gotten rid of in the surgical procedure but the cost is estimated as GHc 15,000 which is too much for her family to bear.

In a separate report, a young Ghanaian lady, whose identity has not been disclosed for personal reasons, has narrated how a young man she met online ended up duping her.

In a video narration sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Facebook handle of GHOne TV, the sad lady mentioned that she met the gentleman on social media and they decided to meet up just after one week.

In her own words, "He called me at about 10 pm one night to meet him and I said we needed to postpone it because it was too late. Then he called the next morning, saying that I should not disappoint him on that day as well"

In other news, independent candidate for the 2020 General Elections, Marricke Kofi Gane, urges Ghanaians to do away with the norm of switching power between NDC and NPP.

Marricke Kofi Gane has expressed the idea on multiple occasions including his famous video sighted by YEN.com.gh titled 'Declaration of Intent' which marked the start of his campaign to be president.

On this particular occasion, Marricke mentioned that if the current way politics is being played out in Ghana keeps ongoing, another 60 years will be lost before Ghanaians know it.

In his own words, "Our leaders have starved our dreams with their greed and buried our hopes with their mediocrity. If we continue down this path it would cost us another 60 years; we don't have another 60 years".
