Mzbel expresses regret at having only one child (video)

Singer Mzbel, known in private life as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah has expressed regret at the fact she has only one child.
According to Mzbel, she now wishes that she had had more children other than her son, Aaron Adepa, and thus regret not giving birth early in her life when she had the chances to.
Mzbel made the revelation during an interview on Accra-based Asaase Radio on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Explaining her point, although she has made quite a fortune from her music career and is in a great position to acquire whatever she needs, she does not feel fulfilled and happy.
“I regret not making a lot of children when I had the chance. I was so concerned about my career and did not see making babies as a big deal. I have whatever I need but honestly, I feel so hollow and unhappy," she told Naa Ashorkor on her Between Hours show.
She added that because she has only one child she lives in fear and is sometimes paranoid and too concerned about losing him or something bad happening to him.
Mzbel who was speaking on the issue of his adopted son, John, leaving her to go back to his mother, stated that John left because he did not have her DNA
“Naa, the boy has decided to leave and there’s nothing I can do about that. When he said he wanted to go, I asked him why he had taken such a step but he still left. I can try to do whatever he wants and even make him fall in love with me but that will not change his mind,” she said.
Going forward, Mzbel indicated that she was not going to take back John even if he were to come back.
The 16 Years hitmaker also advised people to try as much as possible to have their biological children and not rely on adoption. This, she said, was going to save them from any unforeseen circumstances as she encountered with John and his mother.
The singer suggested that those who could afford to look after their children should give birth to as many as six.
As previously reported by YEN.com.gh, Mzbel first broke the news of losing her adopted son as she celebrated her 41st birthday on December 26, 2021.
In a video which went viral on social media, Mzbel was overcome with emotions as she recounted the heartbreaking experience.
