The final funeral rites was held at the Independence square other wise known as the black star square to bid him a final farewell.
The solemn state funeral held in honour of late former president from all indications was a heart breaking moment for most people especially his children.
Amina could not hold back her tears as she read a very emotional tribute on behalf of her mother who was not able to read it.

In a related development, the second daughter of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, Princess Amina Agyemang Rawlings could not hold back her tears as she read the tribute on behalf of her mother.
The words in the tribute she read, forced tears to roll down her face.
In a bid to console her, Member of Parliament for the Klorley Klottey constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings joined her on the dais to enable her complete the reading of the tribute.
