More often than not, recruiters do not know the great lengths some people go to to get to a job interview or even get data to apply for jobs. In a post that was shared on Twitter by @ChristoThurston, a recruiter whose name is Ben Ramedani recently received an inside view into the harsh lives of certain people when he did an interview with a man who lost his job.
According to Ramedani's post, he was doing a virtual interview with a man who unbeknown to him was living in one room with his wife and children. Because Ramedemi was unaware of this, he judged the man for sitting in a disorganised and noisy space.
After the interview, the man explained that he had lost his job three years prior to the interview and had been forced to move himself and his family into one bedroom. After hearing this, Ramadani gave him the job because the interview was not bad, just the environment, which was out of the poor man's control.
Moved locals had this to say about the post:

"I recently sat on a panel for Skype interviews. Candidate 1 had connectivity issues & at first, seemed unprepared. The panel wanted to cancel her interview but we decided to give her a last chance & interviewed her after all the other candidates & she was fantastic & we hired her."

"I’ve noticed from friends of mine how incredibly difficult it is for people that grew up privileged to comprehend that there are people who haven’t always had it as good as themselves."
