Eugene Arhin: Wife drops abuse, property grabbing claims; still wants divorce and settlement

The wife of the Communications Director at the Presidency, Gloria Assan Arhin earlier filed a suit asking for a divorce from her husband stating various claims.
Gloria accused her husband, Eugene Arhin of committing adultery and still doing same.
According to the suit which was filed by Gloria, she stated that not only did her husband commit adultery but he also abused her both physically and verbally even in the presence of their children.
In the suit, she wanted the court to grant her a divorce from her husband, custody of the children, settlement of GHc2,000,000, and her share of some properties they both acquired while living together.
After the content of her divorce writ went viral, her husband hit back at her saying her claims and accusation of abuse and property grabbing were all false.
In a report filed by Pulse.com.gh, Gloria Arhin filed an amended petition at an Accra High Court on Monday, February 15, 2021.

In the amended petition, she has backtracked on several of her earlier claims, including accusations of abuse and property grabbing.
She, however, maintained the call for the court to dissolve the marriage since their relationship was untenable.
She also wanted the court to order her husband to pay her the sum of ₵2million, as well as maintain the children, pay their school fees and health bills, and the cost of incidentals to the suit.
Despite denying a majority of the claims, Eugene Arhin admitted to wanting to leave the marriage in his response.
Meanwhile, Chantel Kudjawu a lady allegedly mentioned as the mistress of Eugene Arhin has through her lawyers, Clinton Consultancy written to the law firm representing Gloria Arhin to retract her allegation and render an apology for same.
In the letter dated Monday, February 15, 2021, Chantel’s lawyers described the allegation by Gloria Arhin as false and damaging to their client.
Gloria Arhin accused Chantel Kudjawu of being the mistress of her husband, Eugene Arhin.
According to her as mentioned in her divorce suit, for some years now, her husband has been having and still continues to have extramarital affairs with Chantel Kudjawu.
