A Nigerian female nurse, Mary Ozuruonye Agholor, has set out to disabuse the minds of many who think only people with poor mental ability go into the profession.
In an interview with the BBC News Pidgin, the lady said after realising that there is more to being a nurse, she went into teaching people about preventive health.
To do that, Mary, an indigene of Delta state, started an online radio station that she uses for such a purpose.

She added that preventive health helps to increase life expectancy and also makes people detect any illness fast enough.
Mary disclosed that she has taken her medical outreach to rural areas, churches, and mosques in order to spread information about the advantages of preventive health.
The passionate nurse said that the reason why she went into broadcast media is because she wants to stop the bad portrayal of nurses.
