Akufo-Addo gifts Black Satellites squad GHC57k for winning U-20 African Cup; video drops

President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has announced a $10,000 package each for the Black Satellites squad that won the Under 20 African Cup of Nations.
This announcement was made when the proud team called on the president at the seat of government following their return from the tourney.
While addressing the team, President Akufo-Addo said the country was very proud of the achievements of the lads.
Therefore to show the nation's appreciation, Akufo-Addo said an amount of $10,000 (GHC57,399) would be given to each of them which was a token from the people of Ghana.
Members of the technical team that went with the squad would also receive $5,000 for their immense contribution by way of preparing the squad for victory.
Akufo-Addo however said $5,000 of the money for the players would be invested on their behalf while the remaining $5,000 would be given to them in cash.
President Akufo-Addo explained that the investment decision was to enable the players have something to live on in future
He went on to personally donate an additional $5,000 each to the skipper of the team, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Abdul Fatawu Issaku, and Danlad Ibrahim.
Speaking about dollars, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Ghanaian actress and producer Tracey Boakye has put a smile on the face of a burgeoning comedian, Kyekyeku by surprising him with a $2,000 gift in a video.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Tracey Boakye invited Kyekyeku over to her plush gold-themed mansion in Ashaley Botwe.
The duo was seen sitting in the plush living room of the actress when she asked Kyekyeku to give her 'chop money'.
