Ghanaians watched the 2021 budget statement read and presented by the caretaker finance minister and minister for parliamentary affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.

Just like the finance minister designare would, he delivered the budget so well, but the signature white outfit of Ofori-Atta was missing as Kyei Mensah appeared in parliament in suit.

Ofori-Atta, has finally returned to Ghana from the United States where he went for treatment for post-COVID-19 complications.

He was flown out of the country on Sunday, February 14, 2021, after suffering some complications following his recovery from the coronavirus disease.

Ofori-Atta spent about 30 days at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA, where he received specialised treatment for post COVID-19 complications.

The report however, indicates that although Ofori-Atta is much better than he left the shores of the country, he has been advised by his doctors to reduce his work load to ensure that he completely recovers.
