A man identified as Tunde Onokoya who mobilised help for the family has shared the photos on his Twitter page.
According to the old photos, the family used to live in squalor. In recent photos, the man and his two kids have finally moved from grass to grace.
Onokoya wrote:
"From the donations we’ve gotten for them so far, I have set apart 2 Million naira into a @PiggyBankNG account to help cater for their education in the coming years.
"Will eventually transfer this to a trust fund for them as soon as we can. Bless the hearts of everyone who gave."
Tweeps were moved to tears while reading the family's story and they soon flooded the comment section with their thoughts.

"They said a man ain't supposed to cry, but this time, I'll put my pride aside and let these tears fall from my eyes. I'll definitely do the needful. Sorry to all other kids that have to clutch to life's gruesome embrace, I'm so sorry."
@toluadeks commented:
"Thank you. Jehovah bless you and everyone who made this life saving journey possible."

"Man is neither a member of the Dangote/Otedola family but look at the level of philanthropy coming from him. God!!!! It is my desire to lift people out of poverty. The journey starts now!"
YEN.com.gh previously reported that Onokoya narrated how he had accosted one of the kids on his way from work who, despite the downpour, was busy picking scraps and putting them into a sack.
Disturbed by what he saw, he had followed up on the young boy named Sunday and went to where he stayed with his family.
This was after he succeeded in getting him new clothes, thanks to supports from his friends and good-spirited individuals.
