- APlus has expressed glee over news that Captain Smart has been taken off air

- According to Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI, he was taken off air for over criticising the current administration

Singer and Political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as APlus, has welcomed reports that popular radio presenter with Angel FM, Captain Smart has been taken off air.

Captain Smart was reportedly yanked off air by his bosses for overly criticising the Akufo-Addo administration.

This was revealed by Franklin Cudjoe of Imani Africa.

According to his post sighted by YEN.com.gh, Captain Smart’s bosses have been under undue pressure by some high-ranking members in the administration to take him off following his incessant commentary on national affairs making the administration unpopular.

Reacting to the report, APlus mockingly said in a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh that: “It's good. Next time he won't carry a bag of cement to help them to build a cathedral.”

The post triggered massive reactions from Ghanaians.

Francis Essel stated: “Captain smart, next time when NPP is in opposition, you will learn how to criticize and also criticize when they are in government. There are more cements out there since you are not working at the moment, let's go for labourer work. You are very at carrying cement.”
Evans Kweku Yeboah said: “This is a clear example of fight for the system to be strong. Because if the system is strong things like these won't happen, he fought well for certain individuals now they've made am beans.”
Nana Gyeabour added: “Captain smart now has free time to carry more cements for the building of the national cathedral. We wish him well.”
Keva Piepa observed: “He's was doing a great job that needed to be condoned but lately deviated to defamation and direct insults which needs to be discredited but I think there's no need for muting him on air for sometime, that's a big NO for the initiatives, hence our recommendation was to be citizens and not spectators.”

Ones upon a time,any time Captain is in say trouble, Ghanaians will defend and fight for him.why the change now?. I remember when he was in Multimedia, whenever he go off air for some I read comments and I was like wow this man is powerful. Why the change of even? Let’s beautiful of our actions and inaction because those who carry us to the to are always needed for a safe landing. May God bless my Homeland Ghana.

In other news on YEN.com.gh, the director of communications at Ghana Gas Company Limited, Ernest Owusu Bempah, has taken the conveners of the social media campaign ‘Fix the country’ to the cleaners for demanding improvement in the livelihoods of the citizenry.

In a scathing Facebook on popular individuals who have joined the campaign, the vociferous communications director said he had been holding himself “from getting into the gutter with these self-styled comedians who dabbles in social media politicking.”
