Pastor Temitope Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) was conducting a church service on Saturday, June 5, when he started feeling uncomfortable.
The Nation learnt that the man of God who was officiating the service left at some point for his apartment.
According to the report, his aides thought it was going to be a quick break but anxiety soon set in when he didn’t return after a long time.
The aides went to check the cause of the delay and found him in an unusual position.
A former aide and close family friend of the late cleric told The Nation that the entire place is to be “sanitised”, though did not disclose the cause of death.
According to the source, the late cleric had asked most of his aides to work from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also confirming the death of the televangelist, Lagos police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu, said he learnt that Joshua was conducting service and along the line, he felt uncomfortable. He walked to his apartment himself and never came back, PM News reports.
Odomuso said:
“The service started in the evening. But it was around 3am that he was pronounced dead by a hospital.”

Did he foresee his death?
The popular televangelist would have clocked the age of 58 on June 12, but death came knocking a few days to his birthday.
On June 3, the man of God shared a message on Facebook, telling his followers that he would not be able to celebrate his 58th birthday due to happenings around the world.
The cleric, however, told his followers to dedicate the day to prayer and fasting and to not also forget the needy.
