Chrissy Teigen's apology

Teigen shared an officially released statement via her Instagram page.

Part of it read:

"I know I have been quiet and Lord knows you don't want to hear about me, but I want you to know that I have been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate 'sit here and think about what you have done'.
Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven't felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I have said in the past."

The mother of two acknowledged that her past controversial tweets surfaced online that got her thinking of the damage her words may have caused to people in the past.

"I am in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted. It's like my own version of that show My Name Is Earl! I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don't think I would like to speak to me,'' she further said.

Social media hiatus

Two months ago, singer John Legend's post wife was covered after she wrote a lengthy post on Twitter talking about the negativity she is facing.

Teigen then deleted her Twitter account after speaking about dealing with negativity, explaining that she was no longer the girl she once was, and as a result, she had to leave the app.

Social media users are asking themselves if this means that Chrissy is gone from Twitter for good. However, a month later, she resurfaced on the app and stated that she would longer pay attention to people who have committed to making her life hard online.
