Deeba Acheampong, the Ghanaian musician who was extradited by an Osu Court in 2013 to the UK for defilement and assault on a minor, is set to come back from his confinement as a lawyer.

This was disclosed to Onua FM by the artiste’s manager, Pastor Elvis who said the hip-life musician never defiled his 8-year-old daughter of his fiancée in the United Kingdom, as was widely circulated but rather douched her with ginger.

Pastor Elvis revealed that during the trial, it was established that Deeba never defiled his daughter.

It was during the trial that the lawyer of Deeba revealed to the court that, his client never defiled his 8-year-old step daughter but he inserted a ginger into her anus and it’s an African way of punishment,” Pastor Elvis said.

When Deeba and his fiancée decided to punish their 8-year daughter for misbehaving, the fiancée was trying to insert the ginger but she couldn’t so Deeba took the ginger and inserted it into the girl’s anus,” he lamented.

The little girl went to school and informed her teacher that her father inserted his fingers into her anus which led to the arrest of Deeba.

According to Pastor Elvis, the artiste was taken to a confined community after the trial when it was all clear that Deeba Acheampong had no intention of harming the little girl.

Pastor Elvis said: “The findings of the court revealed that Deeba was not with the intention of harming the little daughter, so Deeba was not sentenced to prison custody but he was taken to a confined community and not a prison."

He said the musician took advantage of his confinement and enrolled for a number of studies which included law and is expected to graduate in 2018.

He assured fans of Deeba to expect him soon. “He will be a free man from that confined environment by the end of this year, so his fans should expect him this year.”

The arrest of the musician in Ghana before his extradition to the UK was akin to a Broadway show.

Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Arabian friend, Sheikh Ibn Abu Talib are alleged to have masterminded his arrest with INTERPOL.

Deeba was enticed with a juicy career reviving opportunity reserved for already established musicians like him.

He went for the mandatory audition at a five-star hotel in Accra and even began a rendition of the freestyle version of his famous ‘Deeba’ song which shot him to limelight.

The police then swooped on him and caused his arrest.
