CEO of Obibini Blackman Group of Companies is entrepreneur of the year

Dr. Thomas Kofi Aboagye Dompem, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Obibini Blackman Group of Companies, has been crowned the Food and Beverages Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 at the Ghana Entrepreneur Awards.

The award which is in its 6th edition was organized by Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) under the theme: “The role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Growth and Private Sector Development.”

The award was to recognize his hard work and efforts in helping build the Ghanaian economy while providing jobs for lots of Ghanaian youth.

Dr. Aboagye Dompem’s is the CEO of Obibini Blackman Group of companies which comprises Obibini Estates, Fresh Water - Barima Nsuo, Obibini Travel and Tour, Obibini Transport Services and Obibini Distilleries

The Distillery uses ginger as a major ingredient in the production of one of the best gins in Ghana, Brukutu ginger gin. Other products produced by the distillery include Manstrong Bitters and Buga Gin Bitters.

The Ghana Entrepreneurs Award was launched in 2010 and aims at recognising outstanding Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian entrepreneurs. It is also  to serve as a source of  motivation for budding entrepreneurs to help create employment opportunities in Ghana.
