The men who married Ghana's beauty queens
Most of Ghana's past queens are surprisingly still either still single or divorced but a number got married and even made their own families.
Behind every beautiful queen, sometimes there is a man. And for most of them, these men are very strong personalities who strive to support their wives in every way they can.
For once, some light will be thrown on some light on some of the men Ghana’s favourite beauty queens married. Some of these husbands are as popuplar as their wives while others prefer to keep a low profile.
Roberts Kittoe & Nasara Kittoe
Roberts Kittoe married 2009 Ghana’s Most Beautiful winner, Nasara Abdul Rauf in a lavish wedding ceremony held in Tamale, in the Northern Region of Ghana. Roberts is a business man and reportedly very wealthy. A few years and a set of twins later, the couple's marriage was rumoured to be on rocks as Mrs. Kittoe was allegedly over partying and not fulfilling her basic duties as a wife and mother.
J.B Danquah & Ivy Heward Mills
The late Hon. Joeseph Boakye Danquah Adu who was the MP for Abuakwa North married former beauty queen Ivy Heward Mills and they lived together until his untimely demise earlier this year.
Sulley Muntari & Menaye Donkor
Sulley Muntari married 2004 winner of Miss Universe Ghana, Menaye Donkor in two separate weddings. Sulley who is an accomplished footballer based in Europe has kept his fidelity to his wife as she has to him. The couple welcomed their son recently and seem to have grown closer since they became parents.
Nana Kwaku Okiti-Duah & Benita Okiti-Duah
Stephen Okiti-Duah got married to former Miss Ghana, Benita Sena Okiti-Duah in 2007. Mr Okity-Duah is an entrepreneur and was crowned Krontihene of Kadjebi, under the stool name Nana Kwaku Duah the Second a few years ago. Mrs Benita Sena Okiti-Duah is not Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Member of Parliament of Ledzokuku.
Solomon Boateng & Adwoa Saah
Solomon Akwasi Boateng married Adwoa Saah, actress and host of ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ in March this year. Adwoa, who represented the Ashanti Region in the 2007 edition of TV3’s hit reality TV show, ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful’ emerged the 2nd runner-up in the competition. However, a few weeks after their wedding, there were reports that her husband had fathered two children in the UK with two different women.
Olukunle Nubi & Shaida Buari
Olukunle Olusola Nubi, an IT consultant domiciled in Nigeria was the lucky man to snug away Shaida Buari, Miss Ghana 2002. Their wedding made headlines in 2011 as it was well attended by well known personalities. The couple have been going strong since then.
Mac Diamond Kodjo & Pearl Amoah
Mac Diamond Kodjo Emekor Nyamekor married Pearl Amoah who was Miss Universe Ghana 1996. He is one of Ghana’s finest MCs and TV presenters. He is also the CEO of D & P Holdings, which is a TV Production, Fashion and Events outfit.
