Former president John Kufuor gets top appointment in Freemason Lodge UK

John Kufuor has been given a new appointment in a Freemasons' Lodge in the United Kingdom.
The former president of Ghana was "promoted" to become a Senior Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) on Wednesday at a closed ceremony.

Announcing the promotion on Facebook, the UGLE posted on their official page to congratulate the former New Patriotic Party head of Ghana.
“Congratulations to Right Worshipful Brother, His Excellency John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor, PGSwdB, former President of the Republic of Ghana, who has been appointed Senior Grand Warden by the Grand Master, His Royal Highness, The Duke of Kent,” the lodge announced
United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) was founded in 1717 and is the oldest masonic Grand Lodge in the world.
Most Ghanaians have expressed diverse opinions about Kufuor's appointment.
