Akufo-Addo celebrates Kobine Festival with the Chiefs and people of Lawra

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday joined the Chiefs and people of Lawra in the Upper West Region to celebrate this year’s Kobine festival.

The Traditional Area celebrate the festival in honor of farmers and also to mark the end of a successful harvest.
President Nana Addo together with some State Ministers and some members of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) represented the nation to climax the annual celebration.
The paramount Chief of Lawra, Naaa Abaifah Karbo and his sub-chiefs, were on hand to welcome the President and his entourage to the festival.

The Member of Parliament of the Lawra, Anthony Abaifa Karbo in an address urged the people of his constituency to embrace peace in order to speed up development in the area.
This year’s Kobine festival marks the 41st of its kind as people from all walks of life including Ivory Coast, made their way to Lawra to participate in the celebration.
