The cooking moment appeared to be a gesture from the charismatic morning show host at TV3 to assist a food seller along the main Koforidua road.

She was seen stirring a big pot of banku, a staple dish in Ghana made from a mixture of fermented corn and cassava dough, cooked into a thick porridge-like consistency.

Banku is eaten by several ethnic groups, including the Ga Adangme, to which Naa Ashorkor belongs.

Naa Ashorkor is a huge fan of Ghanaian culture and dedicates her social media pages to promote diverse ethnic groups, especially hers, Ga Adangbe.

The huge pot of banku proved a little challenging to stir for Naa Ashorkor, but many fans praised her for the effort.

While some fans drooled over Naa Ashorkor's banku cooking moment, others couldn't help but notice the indigenous Jama song accompanying Naa Ashorkor's post.

Jama in Ghana originates from the Ga language, where the word "jama" refers to songs sung at events, often used to support sports teams and foster community spirit.

The music genre has strong ties to neo-traditional Ga music and culture, particularly in the Greater Accra region.

The broadcaster seized the moment to promote an upcoming stage play she's part of.

"Preparing Banku for those coming to see 'Death & the King’s Horseman' at the theater tomorrow, she said in her caption."

Death and the King's Horseman is a play by Wole Soyinka based on a real incident that took place in Nigeria during the colonial era.

Serwaa Amihere grills Chichinga at Homowo Festival

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that GH One TV presenter Serwaa Amihere had surprised fans with her presence at this year's Homowo festival.

Serwaa Amihere was spotted at La Kpa Sulemɔ, a significant ritual as part of the Homowo festival, which involves sacred chanting, drumming, and dancing.

In a video, the renowned media personality, wearing a beautiful white figure-hugging outfit, was seen with Nana Aba Anamoah at a charcoal-grilling barbecue stand. Ignoring the smoke and chaos around, Serwaa Amihere relieved the barbecue seller of his duties and took charge of the grilling while Nana Aba Anamoah fanned the fire.
