The legendary musician, who left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian music scene, passed away on July 26, 2025, after falling ill at his residence in East Legon, Accra.
According to reports, he was transferred to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, where he ultimately succumbed to his health issues.
His family later released an official statement confirming the devastating news after widespread rumours circulated.

Survived by two wives and a remarkable total of eleven children, Daddy Lumba's family laid bare the complexities of his personal life in the wake of his demise.
During an interview on August 4, 2025, the head of the Fosu family elaborated, stating that the iconic musician fathered nine children with his two wives and two additional children from two other women.
His first wife, Akosua Serwaa, who resides in Germany, celebrated the birth of four children with him, while his second wife, Priscilla Ofori-Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni, gave birth to five children, including twins.
