An alleged sister of Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Akosua Serwaa, has stirred drama online after narrating how the late singer’s marriage was allegedly destroyed.

Late Ghanaian highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu aka Daddy Lumba, died on July 26, 2025, after a short illness.

He fell ill at his home in East Legon and was rushed to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra, where he died.

Details of Daddy Lumba’s wives and children

Daddy Lumba was survived by two wives, Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori Atta, popularly known as Odo Broni.

He welcomed four children with Akosua Serwaa and five children with Odo Broni.

Lumba married Akosua Serwaa, who is based in Germany, in the 1980s and never officially divorced her. However, by the time of his death, he was living in Ghana with his second wife, Odo Broni.

While the two women have remained cordial, their supporters have engaged in an online battle to determine who was the late singer’s legitimate wife.

In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh, a woman claiming to be Akosua Serwaa’s sister narrated how Odo Broni allegedly destroyed her sister’s marriage.

She said that Daddy Lumba and Akosua Serwaa were a perfect couple who told each other everything until Odo Broni came into the picture.

She said both the singer and his new wife kept their relationship hidden from his legitimate wife, and before she knew what was happening, they had three children.

Akosua Serwaa’s alleged sister also took time to debunk claims that she stayed in Germany while he was sick, allowing Odo Broni to start a relationship with the singer.

She said everything had been prepared for Daddy Lumba to travel to Germany for his surgery, but he changed his mind and had the surgery in Ghana.

Akosua Serwaa’s alleged sister also said whenever Lumba was with his first wife, Odo Broni would call him multiple times every hour, which created tension between the two.
