Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has earned online acclaim after he was spotted buying groundnuts from a roadside vendor.

The actor, known for his boyish good looks and charm, was secretly recorded in the act by a student at the Wisconsin International University College.

In the video seen by YEN.com.gh on the TikTok page Ms Berla, Van Vicker conversed calmly with the vendor as she counted out his order.

She could be seen handing him four packs of groundnuts, believed to cost GH₵ 1 each, for a total of GH₵ 4.

Van Vicker paid with a bluish-looking note, believed to be GH₵ 5, and left without receiving any change.

The video of Van Vicker’s interaction with the roadside vendor went viral after it was posted by the student who secretly recorded it.

According to reports, the actor is enrolled at the University to study law.

Van Vicker explains absence in Lil Win's movie

Before being outed by a secretly recorded video, Van Vicker had recently announced that he was enrolled in school during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM's drive-time show.

The popular radio host asked the actor why he did not appear in Kumawood actor and producer, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win's movie, A Country Called Ghana, even though he was in negotiations to star in it.

On February 2, Lil Win slammed Van Vicker for attempting to undermine his movie, despite his refusal to star in it.

Addressing the criticism, Van Vicker said he did not appear in the movie because he was unable to reach an agreement with Lil Win's director.

He said that due to being in school, he had certain demands regarding the time he could be on set.

Van Vicker also said he turned down the movie because the demands on his character were not properly reflected in the amount he was being offered.

Van Vicker celebrates wife on birthday

Previously, YEN.com.gh also reported that Van Vicker celebrated his wife, Adjoa, as she turned a year older on January 24, 2025.
