Some mourners of the late inventor and religious leader, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, have courted attention following their display at his residence.

The founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission died on September 14, 2025. His daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, announced the news of his demise in an official press statement.
The cause of his demise is still unknown. According to Apostle Kwadwo Safo's family, he was 113 years old when he passed away.
The late religious leader's demise sent the nation into a state of mourning, with many distinguished personalities also sharing condolence messages to his family.

In a TikTok video seen by YEN.com.gh on Friday, September 26, 2025, some elderly individuals were seen arriving at the premises of the late Apostle Kwado Safo Kantanka's plush residence to mourn his demise.
In a video, the mourners paid their respects to the late Kristo Asafo Mission leader in an unusual manner.
As they arrived on the compound, the individuals knelt and bowed before a framed photo of the late Apostle Kwado Safo Kantanka, hanged on a stand.
They later sat on the floor and formed a little gathering to mourn the late inventor as a form of worship for their fallen religious leader.

Otumfuo warns Kantanka's family during Manhyia visit
On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Sarah Adwoa Safo and a group of family members visited Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.

The visit was to officially inform the Asantehene of the death of the Kristo Asafo founder, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
In a viral TikTok video, the Safo family was seen delivering the news of the patriarch's demise.
Following their submission, the Asantehene, who was on a raised platform and surrounded by his court, acknowledged receipt of the message and delivered a few words to the family.
He was heard saying ‘memp3 basabasa biaa’ in the Ashanti Twi language, indicating that he wanted everything to go smoothly and without any conflict.
