Elder Frank Donkor has earned admiration on social media after speaking out for the first time after the death of his sons.

The Hebron Prayer Camp founder’s two sons, Captain Frank Amoanyi Donkor Jnr and Elijah Ofori Donkor, were killed on Monday, March 16, 2026, when an aircraft they were travelling on crashed at Oninku Park in Tema Community 1 near a daycare school.

According to reports, the microlight aircraft, tail number 9D-AGV, flew from Ho and was en route to Accra when the tragedy occurred.

The Donkor siblings were buried on Saturday, March 28, 2026, after a solemn funeral held at the State House in Accra.

Elder Donkor breaks silence after son’s burial

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Elder Frank Donkor spoke out for the first time after his son’s burial.

Addressing the Hebron Prayer Camp congregation, he said ordinarily he would not be expected to preach after suffering such a massive tragedy but he wanted to appear and praise God for his love and mercy.

Elder Donkor eulogised his son Frank, describing him as someone who had studied all his life, earned degrees across the world and was accomplished.

“He was educated in the United States and earned multiple degrees. Just about a month ago, he completed another degree; he has studied all his life and was so intelligent,” he said.

Elder Donkor said that despite all this, his life was cut short, yet he felt it was God’s will and there was nothing to be done about it.

He advised his church members that in all things, they should give thanks to God and remain steadfast in their faith, asking them to use his unwavering dedication to God despite the tragedy as a blueprint in their own lives.

“God is a God of truth. If you have left God to worship idols, then sorry for you. If it weren't for God, I would have fallen and died from this tragedy. I have now seen that God is love, and I would never abandon him,” he added.

Elder Frank Donkor's comments after his son's burial elicited admiration from Ghanaians on social media, with many praising him as a true man of God.

Elder Donkor details final conversation with sons

Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Elder Frank Donkor opened up on the final conversation he had with his two sons before their death.

In a video, he recounted how they called him from the air while flying and informed him they were five minutes from landing, only for the sad tragedy to occur.
