Tepamanhene performs a ritual for Otumfuo

The royal household of Tepa often attends high-profile Asante gatherings with the Tepa Barnie deity, also known as Asante Bosom kɛseɛ.

The Tepamanhene, after shaking hands with Otumfuo, presented the deity to perform an age-old ritual for the Asante monarch.

Otumfuo touched the deity several times, after which the Tepamanhene smeared a substance on the king's shoulders.

The moment brought to bear Asante's rich culture and traditions preserved from ages and passed on to this generation.
