The issue of late-night and early-morning prayers that end up disturbing the neighbourhood has been a controversial topic, and Rev. John Kofi has decided to weigh in on the case.
In a firm sermon to his congregation, the clergyman warned that if any of his church members are reported for disturbing their co-tenants, he will make sure to personally report the individuals to their landlord to ensure their eviction.
According to him, such behaviour is inconsiderate and unscriptural, as people need their rest in those odd hours. He also pointed fingers at fellow men of God who establish their churches without regard for their residents.

In his words:
"Even if you are having an all-night service, make sure you control the volume. I mean, lower it. People are sleeping. A pastor can go and establish a church somewhere, not caring about the community, and just scream at the top of their lungs. What is wrong with us?"
He also condemned the common practice of labelling those who complain about the noise as 'witches,' turning the accusation back on the noisemakers and questioning their spiritual integrity.
Rev. Nathaniel Kwabena Asare, the Reverend Minister of Christ Peace Assemblies of Ghana, during an interview with YEN.com.gh advised that holiness does not mean loudness, as things like this should be done in orderliness.
In his words:
"Churches must adopt a spirit of neighbourliness. First, all-night services should be sound-regulated, using indoor systems and capped volumes. Second, leadership should engage communities before starting or expanding branches. And third, pastors must teach that disturbing the peace in the name of prayer is not holiness but disorder. Let the gospel be loud in love, not in decibels."
