During the September 15 episode of Okay FM's morning show, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese shared the frustrations he had with the prophet.
The Okay FM journalist was furious about some comments made by the prophet during a recent sermon about the trending Oobake vs Akwaaba debate in church.
The debate, which has stoked a frenzy online, broke out when a group of netizens shared a petition on social media to yank off the Akwaaba signage at vantage national landmarks in the Greater Accra region.
The group want Akwaaba, the popularised Akan term which translates into welcome, to be replaced by a Ga Adangbe term, Oobake.
In a video culled from Prophet Kofi Oduro's sermon, he seemingly threw his weight behind the petition, saying;
"Some people are innovating, and we are here debating over pettiness like a term, fighting over nonsense. That's what we're experts in."
"There are 52 languages in Ghana, and all of them deserve their language to be printed anywhere. We shouldn't have any dominance or any ethnic group dominating all the time. Simple. Kofi Oduro added."
