- A Nigerian family were informed by the handler of their building project that it would be completed by December
- During the Christmas period, the family visited the property in the village in high hopes but were disappointed
- Ejiofor Chibueze Charles, a building expert and the CEO of Modern Alternative Design Architects (MAD), tackled the family's uncle for the state of the property
A Nigerian lady has shared what her family found in their village mansion, which was supposed to have been completed.
The medical student, Nini Ogele, shared the video on TikTok and sent social media users into a frenzy.
They expected a completed mansion but met an uncompleted property. The clip showed her family taking a tour of the house.
It appeared work had begun on the inside, and some rooms looked tiled. According to the lady, they had a feeling they would be disappointed.
"I think we all had a feeling that it wouldn’t be ready by now," she captioned the clip.
She said it was their uncle who was in charge of supervising the building project.
Building expert blames family's uncle
Sharing his thoughts on the matter building expert Ejiofor Chibueze Charles blamed the family's uncle for the state of the house.
In a chat with Legit.ng, the CEO of Modern Alternative Design Architects explained why:
"From the looks of things I will blame the relative (uncle) who was said to be in charge.
"He was given the work on trust and would have honoured his people by making sure no issues came up and delivering when expected.
"If there was a contractor and he wasn't doing as expected he would have been petitioned and called to order, but if it was the uncle who tried to shortchange his people his relatives should get him petitioned.
"At the end, it's a breach of contract agreement.
"They should access the money sent and check it with the work done to know if they received value for work or if they have been scammed and to know the extent and cost of the scam."
