Former President Kufuor called for forgiveness and reconciliation within the party.

“The building is nice, but if the thoughts inside are not good, then what is the use? Things will never work. What is the essence of a party? It is because of the government that we have parties. So, unity is important. If you have people you can speak to and help change their minds, do so.”

He entreated aspirants, especially presidential hopefuls, to avoid hate speech and inciting their supporters. He said they should hold campaigns devoid of insults.

“The aspirants should be mindful of what they say. They should ensure their supporters also avoid insulting one another. Let’s lead by example,” he said.

He finally called on all NPP members to put Ghana’s interest first. He explained that political service must ultimately be service to the nation.

There were several top NPP members present at the party office commissioning. Some of them include the party's General Secretary, Justine Koduah, and former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
