Jamie Carragher was left fuming after a controversial VAR call spared Chelsea from going behind early against Fulham.
As expected, the London derby delivered fireworks from the start, with the clash at Stamford Bridge kicking off in dramatic fashion.

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, expected to complete his move to Chelsea, was spotted at Stamford Bridge watching his soon-to-be teammates in action.
The Blues made a disastrous start, conceding early to Josh King, but VAR overturned the goal, a decision that left pundit Jamie Carragher furious with the officiating.
Fulham thought they had struck first when teenager Josh King raced onto Sander Berge’s pass, spun past Tosin Adarabioyo and coolly beat Robert Sanchez.
The 18-year-old’s celebrations were cut short, however, as referee Rob Jones was sent to the pitchside monitor.
Replays showed Rodrigo Muniz had stepped on Trevoh Chalobah’s foot in the build-up while winning possession.
Jones addressed the crowd, saying via GOAL:
“After review, Fulham number nine commits a careless challenge, stands on the foot of the Chelsea defender, therefore we disallow the goal and we restart with a Chelsea free kick. There would be no further action.”

The decision to rule it a foul and chalked off the goal left Fulham furious and Carragher unimpressed.
"VAR has had a shocking start to the season."
Carragher was far from alone in voicing exasperation at a decision that robbed King, who has been with Fulham since he was eight, a story book moment.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand posted on X:
"VAR killing this young man’s moment."
Former Manchester Coty defender Nedum Onuoha said:
‘For me, I think that goal should always have stood,’ argued former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.
‘I think Trevor Chalobah has got away with murder and I think the fact he stayed on the floor sold it to them to go and have a look.’
Former Premier League defender Curtis Davies told BBC Radio 5 Live:
“I'm fuming and I'm a defender and usually I'm on the side of the defender.
“Trevor Chalobah has gone for a tackle that was never in his favour. Rodrigo Muniz takes the ball and accidentally steps on his foot. I don't know how that's a foul, never mind taking off the goal. It's ridiculous.”
Fans slam Carragher for not speaking on Semenyo abuse
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Carragher has come under fire for not explicitly condemning the alleged racist abuse directed at Antoine Semenyo, despite describing the incident as “shocking” during half-time.
The season opener between Liverpool and Bournemouth was halted in the first half after Semenyo reported being racially abused by a home supporter at Anfield.
