- Erik ten Hag fired back at Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, who suggested that Rashford had a disciplinary issue
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has called out Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, who suggested that Marcus Rashford did something to start off the bench against Crystal Palace
The England international was named on the bench in Man Untied's 0-0 draw with the Seagulls despite bagging a brace midweek against Barnsley.
Rashford was brought on in the second half but was unable to make an impact.
During his presser ahead of the game, Erik ten Hag addressed Rashford's improvement and the need for him to be disciplined after a difficult 2023/25 season.
According to The Manchester Evening News, Redknapp had some words about Rashford.
"It feels something's gone on untoward... There's obviously something that's happened."
Ten Hag responded to those comments in his post-match press conference.
"Already, the speculation, some pundits, that's crazy. I would almost say as a person you are not okay when you bring such speculation if you don't know what's [going] on. This is just rotation. We have many games to cover...I am very happy with Marcus."
The Red Devils dominated their match against Crystal Palace but weren't clinical enough. However, it was a more positive result than when they visited Selhurst Park.
The draw leaves them 11th in the table with seven points from five games.
