Manchester United are on the brink of sacking coach Erik Ten Hag following their humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at Old Trafford.

It was the 23rd time the club had conceded three-plus goals under the former Ajax boss, who is in his third season at the club.

Th3 club has suffered some embarrassing defeats against bitter rivals and smaller clubs during his tenure.

In his first season, his team recovered well after humbling defeats against Brighton and Brentford to finish third in the Premier League.

In his second campaign, things got worse. The team finished eighth, their worst Premier League finish and also finished bottom of their Champions League group.

However, they have won two trophies so far. Still, fans are not convinced about their league performances. The coach is confident about his role despite calls for him to get fired.

The last time they conceded six against Man City was in 2011 at Old Trafford.

Bournemouth registered a historic win at Old Trafford in December 2023, promoting fans to boo the home side. It was Bournemouth's first-ever win at Old Trafford. Man United dominated possession but were curved open easily by the Cherries.

Tottenham handed Erik ten Hag one of his worst defeats this past Sunday, and it could've been worse. The hosts were second-best all game, even before Bruno Fernandes received a controversial red card. The performance was heavily criticised by Man United legend, and many fans are calling for him to be fired.
