Manchester United will play their first Premier League game this evening without Erik ten Hag in over two years when they welcome Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The game comes hot on the heels of their emphatic 5-2 win over Leicester City in what was the perfect start for Ruud Van Nistelrooy as interim manager.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their horror 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup. The defeat was a rare one for Enzo Maresca who has made a positive start to life in West London.

Team News

The Red Devils' injury concerns haven't eased in recent weeks but Van Nistelrooy is expected to have a strong squad to choose from.

Harry Maguire, Antony, Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Kobbie Mainoo have all been ruled out of the Sunday clash. Cristian Eriksen is also a doubt.

Toby Collyer has also joined the mending table and will be out for one month, as reported by MEN. Collyer made his debut in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in September.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have no injury concerns save for Jadon Sancho, who is still battling illness. The England international won't have played either way, as he is on loan from Manchester United.

Manchester United vs Chelsea head-to-head

Chelsea haven't won a Premier League at Old Trafford since 2013. United won this fixture last season 2-1 but were beaten at Stamford Bridge in that chaotic 4-3 game.

As BBC Sport reports, this is the most drawn fixture in Premier League history.

Possible lineups

Andre Onana is expected to get back into the starting XI alongside Rasmus Hojlund and Noussair Mazraoui. Should Eriksen be unavailable, summer signing Manuel Ugarte will line up alongside Casemiro at the centre of the pack.

Maresca, meanwhile, is expected to change the whole squad that lost to Newcastle. With no injury concerns, the Italian could go with the squad that won last week at home against the Magpies.

Manchester United: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, Ugarte; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund

Chelsea: Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, James; Caicedo, Lavia; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson.
