Supercomputer Predicts Premier League Winner After Chelsea Win, Liverpool and Arsenal Draw

Matchday 16 of the 2024/25 Premier League delivered again with some incredible matches and plenty of talking points.
Leaders Liverpool dropped points again, and so did Arsenal and Manchester City, who lost to Manchester United.
Chelsea put more pressure on Liverpool with their hard-fought win over Brentford, and Opta's supercomputer has made a prediction.
How matchday 16 unfolded
After the Merseyside derby was postponed, Liverpool were looking to bounce back following a 3-3 draw at Newcastle.
However, their clash against Fulham went south early in the second half when Andy Robertson was shown a red card. Still, they were able to rescue a point.
Meanwhile, Everton held Arsenal to a frustrating 0-0 draw at home. It is their second straight draw after a 1-1 draw at Fulham.

Chelsea, on the Chelsea other hand, registered a fifth straight win after beating Brentford in the London derby. The Blues now have 34 points after 16 matches, two behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Arsenal are third with 30 points, while Nottingham Forest sit fourth after their win over Aston Villa. Reigning champions Man City are fifth with 27 points.
Supercomputer Premier League prediction
Opta's supercomputer has evaluated the predictions after matchday 16, and Liverpool are still heavy favourites to win the title.
Despite their frustrating draw at Anfield, Liverpool's chances of winning the 2024/25 Premier League have increased from 81.1% to 82%.
The Gunners lost the title last season by two points but have not progressed compared to last season. Opta's supercomputer has given them a 10.6% of winning it, a slight drop from 11.8%.
Enzo Maresca's Chelsea have overtaken Man City in the projection and now have a 5.5% chance, up from 2.8%.
Defending champions Man City's chances continue to drop. They have been a 1.9% chance, down from 4.3%.
The Premier League enters a crucial period; whoever is top on Christmas day will fancy their chances.

Despite their impressive form, the Italian downplayed their chances, stating that the squad is not yet prepared for a title challenge.
